As the outcome of experimenting with the basic elements and studying nature's
transformative character, Eirik Jahnsen is using water as a tool to make impressions on other materials, resulting in objects that visualizes it’s flow and movement.
By setting up conditions for controlled randomness and seeking out abnormal behavior, he is forcing a dialogue between contrasting materials like wax and water to provoke anomalous reactions and unexpected shapes.
Liquid/solid captures the energy of natural forces through material manifestations, solidifying the intangible characteristic of water.
